The following picture was sent to me by a law professor that I know at Notre Dame. The picture was taken during the Notre Dame v. BYU football game last fall, which was held in South Bend.

Hardly great art or photography (or photographic tinkering for that matter), but I thought it was funny.
(Thanks to Rick Garnett for the photo.)

About The Author
I am the owner of this site. I live in Williamsburg, Virginia with my family, where I am a professor at William & Mary Law School. I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and have lived in Korea, Arkansas, and Massachusetts in addition to the Old Dominion. I am double-jointed in my left thumb.
I hope they went (to mass, and the game). It probably would have done them some good.
Not the game, it wouldn’t have.
But mass probably would have. I went to mass at Notre Dame on a Saturday in October last year and was moved both by the spirit that was there and by seeing another community of people who clearly take their religion as seriously as we do. The homily, on the family, was very well done.
FYI — Knute Rockne’s (the Notre Dame coach whose grandson coaches football in Salt Lake City) only novel has been republished and is available on Amazon and Barnesandnoble.com. It’s a boy’s book promoting universal moral values, good sportsmanship, and all that good stuff.
